Shipping and refunds

How Shipping Works

  • Local deliveries in the Greater Toronto Area are completed with Trexity courier service. Pricing is determined by the distance from the delivery address to our North York/Yonge Street retail store. This is typically in the $8 to $15 range, with the exception of the outermost service areas.
  • All Trexity deliveries will be dispatched and picked up Thursday - Sunday from 12PM to 6PM, with deliveries being completed within four hours of courier pick up. For same-day delivery deadlines, orders must be placed by 11AM. Otherwise, orders will be scheduled for the next available or requested delivery day.
  • Please ensure your delivery address is able to receive shipments on your behalf if shipping to an office, condominium, or apartment. Couriers are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes.
    • Online order pick up is still available at our North York/Yonge St location (5418 Yonge St. Unit 10, M2N 6X4) during regular hours from 11AM to 7PM, Thursday - Sunday.

     

    Perishability

    If you don't devour your chocolates all at once, please enjoy within 3 weeks of purchase. This being said, heat and warmer temperatures are kryptonite to shiny chocolates! So please do your best to avoid contact with sunlight or any nearby heat sources.

    When you receive your chocolates, they may be stored in their original packaging in a cool and dry place (14-18°C is ideal; wine coolers work great). Standard refrigeration below 4°C is not necessary; if you choose this method, keep in mind that the chocolates may lose their shine due to excess humidity.


    Refunds & Returns

    We work hard to carefully pack your chocolates, to prevent any damage during transit. However, Mellis Chocolate cannot be held responsible for damage to product that may occur during shipping, neither transit delays due to inclement weather, courier service disruption, incorrect address information or any other circumstances beyond our control.

    We are not able to accept any returns or exchanges due to the nature of the product. All shipped products are final sale and not eligible for compensation if received as advertised.

    However, if there is an issue with the condition of your package, or for any reason you are unsatisfied with your order, please email hello@mellischocolate.com with your name and order number. We will get back in touch with you as soon as possible, to address your concerns and make your experience the best possible!
